'Rebel' WIthout A Cause, Mac Style - Lipstick Swatches

With the recent changes to the Back 2 Mac Program here in Australia, I wanted to share swatches of a few lipsticks I have picked up in the program and not gotten around to actually posting up here yet! Yes terribly slack I know. I always liked the name of this lipstick, it kind of has that whole rocker feel to it. Its vampy colour still has that punk edge to it, especially when paired with a smokey eye on the way to a concert!!

Rebel is a Satin Finish, this means that its nearly a matte lipstick but has a slight sheen to it. It is a great opaque lipstick and pigmentation that covers your lips easily. This is part of the permanent line of Mac lipsticks and also one that you can pick up in the Back 2 Mac recycling program.

Now for Swatches

REBEL - A beautiful berry red lipstick with a touch of purple, it does appear more of a dark berry when layered really thick. It is a hard colour to describe because it has all the elements of pink, purple and red but it really is beautiful.

Swatched here against Yung Rapunxel and Cyber lipsticks, you can see that it definitely is a lot more red than deep purple.

The lipstick feels very comfortable on the lips and isn't drying. I like Satin finishes, I just wish they would stay on the lips a little longer! I get around 3hrs wearing time with them but they always need touching up straight after eating or drinking, especially when they are this pigmented.

You can pick this up online at www.maccosmetics.com.au or in store for $36AU or for free in the Back2Mac program with 6 empties!

Peace and Love,
