Review - FACE Altier Lip Lock

I had been looking at this product for a while before I finally decided to order it from my regular Australian makeup supplier makeupandglow. I love the fact that I can apply a primer to make my eyeshadow stay put and I know that I can apply a matte Mac lipstick and that is going to have great staying power, but what about my other lipsticks?

Does this product offer the solutions?

I purchased this product for $28AU plus postage and it offers the promise of a clear shellac coating over your lipstick locking in the colour. I did my own experiment with this, because it took a while to actually get a process that works effectivly with this product.

First you need to apply you lipsticks and blot removing the excess. Then apply a thin layer over the top of your lips keeping them parted and wait for it to try. Your lips will tingle a little bit but I found that if you shut your mouth straight away when its not dried yet that the clear coating basically peeled straight off.

The only extended wear I got with this, was probably enough to last through drinking liquids. It didn't stand the test of time through food. Once I went and did touch ups, I also noticed that the coating would end up on my lipstick product if there was still some on. The other thing to note, the colour doesn't stick put.

Here is the same lipstick applied with FACE Altier Lip Lock and was left to dry. There is still some excess left so definitely not locked in for extra staying power.






















I brought this product with big hopes to be able to give my bridal clients the ultimate lips for their big day and no budging no matter what lipstick they choose to wear, sadly this is not one that I would use. Not impressed by this product really and feel like it was a waste of money.
