Review & Swatches - Mac Lady Danger & Morange from Back2Mac

Ok so in my Empties Video, I was meant to take my 'empties' with me and trade them in at my recent Techniques Class instead of walking out with just the new Mineralize Rich Lipstick. Well I forgot them when I rushed out the door for work that morning and instead made another trip down to Mac last week to 'Back2Mac' and claim my free lipsticks. I actually wasn't sure what lipsticks I wanted when I went down there, but I knew I was after something different to add to my stash.

I ended up walking away with Morange (which I have been looking at for months) and Lady Danger. Both of them are bright, vibrant and all over Starling Bright style.

Back2Mac is a great program, all you need to do is collect 6 empties of any kind from the Mac line and trade them in for a free lipstick! Here in Australia, we are entitled to 20 lipsticks from the permanent line and I always have that linked in my side bar on my blog for easy access. Its a great way to walk into Mac and leave with something for nothing and a great way to try new colours. I had collected 13 empties so I was entitled to 2 free lipsticks and am already on my way to get another free lippy with other products running out.

Mac Lady Danger & Morange Lipsticks

The colours that I choose this time were Morange and Lady Danger. I have alot of pink and blue based reds so Lady Danger is a refreshing change to add to my collection and Morange is a colour that stands all on its own. Both of these are part of Mac's permanent line and without Back2Mac they are $36AU each available online, Lady Danger is not available in all stores.

MORANGE - IN YOUR FACE ORANGE is the only way to describe this colour. Maybelline Neon Red Vivid is more red and Vibrant Mandarin is more pink. This is an amplified finish but very opaque and not drying on the lips.

LADY DANGER - Bright orange based red in a matte finish, this is more orange than Scarlet Ibis and Maybelline Shocking Coral Vivids is more Pink. This is a matte finish lipstick and I was glad to see this lipstick is a new Mac Matte formula and not drying like Ruby Woo. It is a really opaque lipstick and takes nothing to build this one up.

Make sure you save up your empties to take advantage of Back2Mac, nothing better than getting something for free out of your empty products! You can take advantage of this program at all Mac Counters around Australia!

What did you get in your last Back2Mac haul? Do you have these colours?

Peace and Love,
